Membership Plans
(*) The marked initiation fees are payable half the first year and half the second year. A portion of the annual dues are billed in January with the remainder billed at a rate of $30 per month February through October. Regular members pay $250 in January. Family, Student, Tow Pilots and Instructors pay $50 in January. Juniors pay $60 in January with no additional monthly dues billing. Tow Pilots & Instructors: Pay $320/yr. Student Membership: Must be a full time student. Family Membership: First family member pays the "A" rate; additional family members each pay the "B" rate. Visiting Private Owner: $15 one day temporary membership entitles the temporary member to utilize our tow operation. A flat rate tow fee of $50 entitles the temporary member to a tow up to 3000' feet AGL. Does not include use of club gliders. Maximum of five per calendar year. Must be an SSA member and complete a PDF format Temporary Membership Application. Flight Fees Hookup fee is $11 per flight. Aerotow
fee is $1.20 per 100 feet, minimum tow 1200'. Glider rentals are $6 for single seater and $10 for two seater
gliders, per flight. There is no fee for instruction, whether on the ground or
in the air. Thus, for example, the typical 2-33 training flight,
consisting of 2-33 rental, hookup, and 3000 foot aerotow,
costs $11+$10+3*$12=$57. Region 1 Visiting Pilot- Payment by check at time of tow. Total based on current GBSC tow fees. 2000 ft tow= $11 hookup+2*$12=$35, 3000 ft tow= $11 hookup+3*$12=$47. There is a 1-hour flight duration limit when others are
waiting for that aircraft, except that instructor-approved cross-country
and badge flights have no duration limit. Also, the B-4 can be reserved
for unlimited duration cross-country and badge flights. | ||||||||||||||||
